World War II Museum: Give yourself a few hours, but totally worth it!
City Park: Small amusement park, great for kids (and big kids!)
Jazz in the Marigny District: Specifically d.b.a @ 618 Frenchmen St.
Contemporary Arts Center: Beautiful museum @ 900 Camp, near WWII Museum
Swamp Tour: A 45 minute drive, but you can navigate the Bayou on a fan boat
Creole Queen: Ride in a Paddlewheeler down the Mighty Mississippi
Jackson Square: Get a tarot card reading
Stroll the galleries and antique stores along Royal in the Quarter (esp. Mann Gallery & Keil's Antiques)
BOOZE & FOOD
Old Absinthe Bar: The Bloody Mary you need is here at this Bourbon St. dive
Carousel Bar @ the Hotel Monteleone : The bar goes around in a big circle! Neat!
Sazerac Bar @ the Roosevelt: Fancy bar where the drink was invented
Hermes Bar @ Antoine's: Been there for 896 years (give or take a few years)
Pat O'Brien's: Might as well do some touristy things right! Have a Hurricane in the courtyard
Barrel Proof: Whiskey & Beer
Bar Tonique: Crafty cocktails on Ramparts
Cane & Table: A little hidden hipster joint on Decatur St.
Sylvain (Chartres, in the Quarter)
Peche (Magazine, in the Warehouse District)
Oysters: Acme or Bourbon House, both in the Quarter
Cafe Amelie (Royal, in the Quarter)
Killer Po Boys: You probably need one of these late at night (in the Erin Rose Bar in the Quarter)
Galatoire's or Antoine's (in the Quarter): Traditional New Orleans establishments. Jacket required.
St. Roch Market (in the Marigny): Food hall with many food options
